It is hard to believe that it is only three weeks until our first period of production begins here in Wales. The last two months have been a whirlwind of R&D activity with the directors working alongside the choreographers to define and develop the conceptual approach to the production. In this time we have visited multiple potential filming locations across the breath of South Wales looking for a broad range of stunning natural and urban environments which will lend themselves to the 360° medium. Kim and Hugh have been working on the movement vocabulary and grabbing studio time whenever possible to rehearse and refine the choreography.
Simultaneously the technical team at 4Pi have been doing extensive pre-production testing of various capture technologies and grip equipment looking for the most innovative ways of moving the viewer through the immersive landscapes that the dance will respond to.
The dancers from Delhi will arrive on the 8th of July and will be working for one week in the studio before starting the capture process.
